As many of you know, I used to love to dance with my dad! And as a little girl I would wrap my arms tightly around his waist and stand on his feet while he danced and moved us both happily around the living room. Of course, his arms were wrapped around me as well, and there was nowhere else to look but up! But without fail, his eyes of love were always looking down at me. I knew I was the apple of his eye.
Amy Boucher Pye said, “…with eyes being precious and fragile, they need protecting, and that’s how the Lord wants to love and protect His people – by holding them close to His heart.”
Whether or not you had an earthly dad that held you close and protected you, YOU can rest assured that you do have a Heavenly Father that looks at you with eyes of love and a heart that wants to protect you. You are His precious daughter, the apple of His eye! And my hope, dear sister, is that you are dancing with Him today! #morningponderingsfromdori
