Are you up to the challenge to love like Jesus? I know in myself, I am not, except that He gets ahold of my heart, intent, motives and attitude. It’s important to know what His Word says, and to commit to having the mind of Christ and surrender the ways of the natural, sinful man for His ways. Living with His perspective makes each of us happier, more joyful and more productive people for the Kingdom of God. It’s important to ask the Lord frequently to help us see people through the lens of His loving eyes, rather than with human eyes. Human perspective can be blurred by feelings and insecurities; it can be critical, competitive, judgmental and anything but loving. I have to wonder what HE truly sees through His eyes of love? What would we see through His eyes?? I’m not 100% sure, but I’m thinking He sees that our greatest need is for more of Him and less of us, that we each have a story, a history, and a truckload of needs, baggage, brokenness and burdens. He sees each work in progress, knowing where we started and knowing even better where He wants to take us. We are unfinished Masterpieces in the Masters hands. Oh, to see everyone we meet with this kind of vision…ever so much that we could truly love our enemies as HE loves them…as HE loves US! That is the true measure of loving like Jesus. ❣️✝️🥰🙌🏻🌷
Question… If Jesus was all you had, would He be enough? I believe HE most certainly can be, and maybe that is you or someone one you know at the moment. One of my dearest, life-long friends lost everything she owned in a devastating fire. Everything she cherished…family heirlooms, years of pictures, homemade treasures, her beloved dog, absolutely everything…was all gone, destroyed by fire! She later lost her husband of 48 years and now lives miles and miles away from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Amazingly, she is one of the MOST content people I know. Matter of fact, I don’t think I know anyone who is a happier, more joyful daughter of the Most High God than she! How does someone experience all that grief and loss and still continue? The only answer that makes any sense at all is to make the LORD Himself our portion, to choose to be content with Him and nothing else. HE can never be taken away! Nothing else in this life comes with a guarantee. People will move away (some as far as Heaven), jobs change, companies collapse, houses can burn down, cars break down, marriages fail, children grow up and have lives of their own, and the list goes on. BUT here’s the good news…. If GOD is our portion, we can be forever secure in HIM!! Change and loss will certainly take us through long periods of adjustment and grief, but we have a Comforter, a Sustainer, a Guide, a constant Companion who will carry us through…if we let Him. James 4:8 teaches us that as we draw near to God, He promises He will draw near to us and, honestly, I can’t think of a more secure place to be! 🙌🏻✝️😄❣️
Love covers a multitude of sins… Wow! Those are powerful words!!! When we love others with a godly, forgiving, accepting love — the kind of love God bestows upon us — it covers over their sins and ours. We have full opportunity to exemplify the sacrificial love of our Savior who gave His very life for us while we were still sinners. I will admit, loving others is not always easy. Matter of fact, the more deeply you love, the more deeply you will get hurt…simply because you care. But loving and being loved sure beats the alternative of shutting the world out and ‘living lonely.’ I’m guessing Jesus would agree that love is risky, love is costly, but love is worth it! Since He thought you and I were worth it, I’m thinking others are too! 💖💖💖
He is risen… Yes, He is risen indeed! And it is the very fact that He arose that makes all the difference in the world! And before He ascended to Heaven, He promised to send the Comforter, His Holy Spirit, who counsels and guides us. He is our constant Companion who will never to leave us or forsake us, and He will be with us until the end of the age! Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” We are never promised a trouble-free life but, as with this verse, there are so many promises in His Word of His presence, His abiding love and His sustaining grace through it all! There is NO other god who can claim this, no other faith that has such assurance! That said, I pray you have the most amazing Easter — Resurrection Sunday — as we Celebrate the amazing truth that our Savior Lives!!! 🙌🏻✝️🕊❣️🥰
Oh, to be more like our Savior who humbled Himself for us… that we could do the same for the sake of others…
The greatest Walk of Love, in my humble opinion, was when Jesus walked the cobblestone road up to Calvary’s hill. With the Garden of Gethsemane behind Him, He was fully surrendered to the Father’s will as He carried the cross He would be nailed to and crucified upon for you and me. He had lived a perfect, sinless life, yet, He had been stripped naked, mocked, had a crown of thorns pressed into His brow, been spit upon, had his beard plucked out and was brutally beaten to near death. Yet, knowing His mission – the Cross He would bear for the sins of the whole world – He willingly trudged up the hill to Calvary out of sheer love of you and me… Yes, He did it all for us. He was a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God on our behalf. Though it is something we can and should thank Him for every day of our lives, this great act of love is worthy of our concentrated and deep contemplation this coming week leading up to Good Friday. This is a time to remember His death and, of course, His Victorious Resurrection which we will celebrate this coming Sunday. Hallelujah! Our Savior Lives! 🙌🏻✝️🕊❤️
Nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the unconditional, infinite, immutable, eternal, magnificent, unchangeable, relentless, giant, matchless, amazing LOVE OF GOD!! He paid the highest price ever paid, giving us the greatest Gift ever given to redeem our lost souls. How can we help but praise HIM!! 🙌🏻✝️❣️😊🎉
The Holy Spirit is our Advocate. The Amplified Version goes on to also call Him our Helper, Comforter, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener and Standby. He is sent by the Father to remind us of what He has said, and what we have heard, read, learned and experienced. In this crazy world, it is far too easy to get off track and lose our focus. We need ‘The Great Reminder’ every day to renew our minds, refresh our memories and keep us going in the right direction. He is our GPS, our Compass, our Guide. One thing I have noticed about my GPS… It only takes me to the right place if I listen, and so it is with the Holy Spirit. 🤔💭👂🏼🕊❣️
This verse jumped out at me like a wild animal in a forest…partly because of the new series we are in at our church on prayer and fasting, and partly because of our current Women’s Bible Study on the Holy Spirit.
So what struck me most were the first few words, “After they prayed…” It was ‘after’ they prayed that the Holy Spirit shook the place where the disciples were, and it was ‘after’ they prayed that they spoke the Word of the God boldly. I have to believe God was already there, but He showed up vividly after His people cried out to Him in prayer, almost as if they were finally welcoming Him into the conversation with a sincere desire to align their hearts with His.
It makes me think of what it is like to be parents who are waiting in the living room for their teenage child to quit shutting them out, to open their bedroom door and actually sit down and talk about the issues at hand…to stop rebelling, trying to do everything their own way, and to start listening and understanding his or her parents’ hearts for them. Sometimes those parents wait years, sometimes God does too.
He is always just a prayer away, just a breath away…but He waits. And once we come out of our room, our rebellion, our ‘do it my way’ kind of thinking and talk to Him with a humble and open heart, there is no end to what He can do. He can shake our world and give us incredible boldness to serve Him in new ways, sometimes to speak His truths more boldly than we ever thought we could.
As His Holy Spirit takes control, His Word abounds, and we get the incredible privilege of being His vessels, His conduits as it were. He knows who will be watching or listening — whether it is one or 1,000 — and He knows exactly what they need to see or hear through us… through anyone who will pray and seek Him fully. Bottom line, when we pray, God listens, God guides and God does miraculous things through feeble, broken, needy human beings.
For me, prayer is a very humbling place where God straightens me out and aligns my heart to His so that I, His beloved daughter, can step away from myself — my own selfish desires and rebellious ways — and into His will, empowered to do His work, His way and in His time, all by the power of the Holy Spirit. How thankful I am today and always for our Great Three-in-One God… Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 🙌🏻❤️✝️😊
©️Celebrate His Love 2022
Sunday is such a blessed day when we have the wonderful privilege of being together with other believers to corporately worship the LORD and proclaim His unfailing love to HIM and each other! It never ceases to amaze me how corporate worship is a total reset for my thoughts, attitude, intent…my unchallenged, unexplainable feelings that I don’t understand…for absolutely everything. According to John 10:10, the enemy strives to steal our joy, annihilate our faith and destroy all hope. But he CANNOT stand against our praises because GOD, who is the final Authority, inhabits the praises of His people! (Psalms 22:3) So, if GOD is in the midst of us when we praise Him, we have nothing to fear because perfect love casts out all fear…and who doesn’t need that!!!?!!! Bottom line, we desperately need to praise Him on Sunday (and every other day), praise Him in the morning, praise Him at night, praise Him in the valley, praise Him on the mountain, praise Him when we feel like it, and especially when we don’t! Yes, let’s praise the LORD, make some music and proclaim His unfailing love! And as we do, just watch, just wait, you’ll see…there is victory on the horizon!! 🌅🙌🏻✝️❤️🕊😄
Staying connected to the LORD in a world, where HE is certainly not the main focal point of everyday life, can be difficult at best. However, it is vital to the survival of our faith, trust, hope, joy, peace and fruitfulness as believers to remain in Him, to abide under His wings — under the shelter of the Almighty — to abide in His strength, His promises…yes, in His Word. For truly, without Him we can do nothing, but we ‘can’ do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Phil. 4:13) As we abide in Him, we will not only survive, we can thrive! 🙌🏻✝️❣️🥰
Romans 5:8 has enraptured my heart for years — along with any Scripture that begins with “But God” — because these words are generally preceded with man’s helpless dilemma followed by God’s powerful deliverance. And it rings true in this verse as well which is preceded by our dilemma in verses 6 & 7…
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.” Then, in comes our Eternal Hero, Our Generous, Compassionate, Loving, Gracious God riding on the wings of Mercy… as He states, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” ~Romans 5:6-7
While we were ‘still’ sinners, lost in our own sinful, selfish ways, The God of the Universe saw our dilemma and sent His One and Only Beloved Son to die for our sins and RESCUE us from ourselves! Jesus Christ was the Greatest Gift ever given, and He suffered the cruelest, most indescribable death as payment for our sin, which was the greatest debt every owed. He did all this so that we, the undeserving, could be set free, now and throughout eternity!! The words of Chris Tomlin’s ‘Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)’ come to mind…
“My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace…”
These lyrics, along with today’s Scripture, bring me to a place of awe, as I am enraptured in the absolute Wonder of His Love, a place beyond such description that all I want to do is worship Him, serve Him and make Him smile! If they do that for you too, I would love to meet you at the foot of the cross so we can worship Him together! The ground is level there, and all are welcome. May He alone be exalted! Hallelujah!! 🙌🏻✝️🧎🏼♀️❣️
As we continue through February, I thought 🤔💭 ‘What better thing to chat about than the matchless love of God!’ God is love and He blesses us with the absolute privilege of knowing Him and making His amazing love known to our generation…to love one another. Oh, how I desire to be a vessel, a conduit as it were, of His love. When I fail, I have to admit, it affects me deeply.
Thankfully, His love is laced with His boundless mercy and grace, so much so that even when I mess up, He still loves me…even when life is hard, He still loves me…even at my most undeserving moments, yes, He still loves me. And yes, He still loves you too. How can we ever lives of gratitude to the same degree of His love? Bottom line, we can’t…thus, mercy bursts forth and grace abounds all the more!
It’s unfathomable, yet, I believe it, accept it and depend on it more than ever! Today I just want to praise Him for Who He is, for how He SO loved the world that He gave His one and only Son as a sacrifice for our sins! May we follow His blessed example and SO love one another.❣️🥰❣️
God’s redeeming love…It is unconditional, everlasting, forgiving and generous beyond compare. No matter what we have done, His love, mercy and grace still wants us to believe in His Son, and to invite and welcome Him into our hearts and lives.
The Book of Hosea was written to call the Children of Israel to repentance and back to God. It was to demonstrate His loyal love, and to show them their lack of knowledge, loyalty, love and faithfulness Him. Too often, we sadly see ourselves and our lack of faithfulness through their mishaps. On the upside, we also have the absolute joy and privilege of experiencing His mercy, grace, love and compassion just as Gomer (yes, that is ‘her’ name) did from Hosea. Though Gomer was unfaithful to Hosea over and over again, Hosea continued to peruse her and bring her back to himself, even to the point of buying her back… Just as our faithful, loving God does for us! Mercy, what a story!
You may have already viewed the movie “Redeeming Love” which is based on Francine Rivers’ 1991 novel by the same name. Though the story line is taken from the Book of Hosea, Francine’s creativity takes us to the American Old West during the California Gold Rush. Here, Angel (Gomer) is sold into prostitution as a child, and she knows nothing but betrayal until a man, Michael Hosea (Hosea), comes into her life to patiently show her differently. I won’t reveal any more of the plot just in case you plan to see the movie, but I will tell you that it is a beautiful picture of God’s amazing, matchless, GIANT, redeeming love for me and for YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This verse perked my interest. Tying the first line and the last line together, it makes me think of how lovely it is when we clearly see Him in others who give us unearned, undeserved grace, mercy, love and compassion. And, hopefully, His love shines through us as well as He prompts us to show these same tender mercies in ways we never thought we ever could. Oh, for God’s love to be made complete in us, through us, to others… The very thought of it makes me smile! 😁❣️✝️❣️🙏🏻❣️
I recently read that in this verse ‘power’ represents the Holy Spirit, ‘love’ represents the love of the Father and a ‘sound mind’ (self-discipline in NIV, sound mind in KJV) represents the Word of God which is Jesus Christ the Living Word. If we are in fellowship with our Father Who is Love through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, fear has no power over us. Oh, to walk that close to our Almighty three-in-one magnificent God!!! 🙏🏻✝️❣️
Peace… We can’t see it or touch it, but we certainly can feel it when we have it. It’s that peace that only God can give us, that peace that passes ALL understanding because it comes from the LORD and not from within our limited, all-to-human selves. And it is not because life is perfect (Is it ever?), but because He is and He promises to be with us every day of our lives…whether we’re walking in the sunshine of a great day or through the floods and fires life can bring. His peace can guide us through our troubles and remove our fears, and how wonderful that is! I hope and pray you are tapping into His peace today and every day of your life! ❤️🙏🏻✝️🥰❣️
‘Nough said! 😊
These verses always bring to mind the old hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” And what a wonderful thought to wake up to… that because of our LORD’s great LOVE we are not consumed by the cares of this world. And how consuming they can become, but for His unfailing love and compassion for us. Where would we be without Him? I don’t ever want to know! 🙌🏻✝️❤️🙏🏻
The sheep in this picture looks so sweetly pathetic, it reminded me of the day HE rescued me. He seeks out the lost & lonely, the hurt & broken, the misguided & disillusioned, the bitter & angry. No matter how deep and dark the pit may be, His rope is long enough to reach us. No road is too rocky that He won’t travel it, no mountain is to high that He won’t climb it, no sin is too great that He won’t forgive it. Yes, He seeks us out…each one as if we were the only one. There truly is no greater love! John 3:16 says it all… “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Great Shepherd came to rescue and redeem His sheep. Simply put, we all need rescuing…and all He asks is that we believe and follow Him. Count me eternally grateful! 🙌🏻✝️❤️😊
Happy New Year! 🥳🎉 I hope you are stepping into 2022 in faith, trusting that God has some new things for you and that He will be with you, making a way for you one step at a time! The old hymn “Follow Jesus” comes to mind… “Follow, follow, I will follow Jesus! Anywhere, everywhere, I will follow Him!” 🎶🙏🏻🎵🙌🏻🎶❣️
When an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, it was decreed by God the Father that His one and only Son shall be named Jesus. Commentators have defined the meaning of Jesus’ name as “Yahweh Saves, The Lord is Salvation or God Our Savior.”
Christmas is a time when we most commonly contemplate the precious Son of God, born to a virgin and placed in a lowly manger on that first Christmas morning. And at the same time, the beautiful manger scene was shadowed by the future for this Blessed Child, the future of the Old Rugged Cross. Yes, that little baby boy came for the sole purpose of laying down His life as God’s perfect sacrificial Lamb. He died on a cruel cross, was buried in a tomb and rose again to rescue, save and deliver us from our sin once and for all. The rest is up to us…whether we believe and welcome Him into our lives, or reject God’s blessed, perfect Gift.
I am not sure who will even read this or where you are on your spiritual journey, but I just need to say on this most blessed Christmas Day that I could not do this life on my own! I could never be good enough to convince God to let me into His perfect, holy presence, His glorious heaven. Truth is, I was a huge mess up…I’d made a disaster of my life, looking for love and fullness in all the wrong places…and that’s why when this message of God’s love (John 3:16), compassion, mercy and grace came to me at ‘this’ very time of year (many years ago), I gratefully accepted it! And since then, I have never been the same!
There is an unexplainable peace in knowing we have an Advocate before the Father…A Rescuer, Deliverer, A SAVIOR who is Christ our Lord! If you have Him in your life, you know exactly what I mean. If you do not, I pray you will consider welcoming Him into your heart and life this CHRISTmas Day! He is just one sincere, heartfelt prayer away… and I guarantee, you will never be the same! Let us all embrace God’s precious Son in the manger, on the cross, out of the tomb and into our hearts! And may you have the absolute Merriest Christmas ever! 🎄🙌🏻✝️❣️🥰
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ~John 3:16 NIV

These words, spoken to Mary by the angel, bring to mind the Lyrics to “There’s Nothing that Our God Can’t Do” by Passion…
His birth was prophesied for the first time in the Book of Genesis. God’s Son was always a part of His redemption plan. Before His birth, people had to believe in Him and that He would someday come to their rescue. We get the privilege, through God’s timeless Word, to know He did come, lived a perfect life, died a cruel death and rose again to rescue us from our sin. One day He will come again to take His children home. But we still need to believe it and welcome this beautiful Savior into our lives by faith to truly partake in the wonderful gift of Grace and Salvation that God meant for us to have from the very beginning. One thing that makes Christmas meaningful is to not only ponder the babe in the manger, but to also contemplate all He came to do for you and me. Hallelujah, what a Savior! 🙌🏻✝️❣️🥰🎄🙏🏻
We are encouraged to live at peace with everyone…that means in the workplace, family, neighborhood, etc. That word ‘everyone’ is a tough one to swallow at times, but I find so much comfort in the words “If it is possible” and “as far as it depends on you.” That tells me to do my very best…then give the ‘impossible’ to the LORD and trust Him for the miraculous! 🙌🏻✝️❣️😊
What if we all truly lived this way, honoring one another more than ourselves? We can’t change the whole world, but we can start with our own hearts and, hopefully, have an affect on our own sphere of influence. And only the Lord knows just how far that will go! I’m hopeful! Have a blessed week! 🙏🏻✝️🙌🏻❣️😊
God’s economy is quite the opposite of ours… In the natural, we love those who love us, but in God’s economy we are to love, period! Love our enemies, love our friends, love our family, love our neighbors…sincerely love, even when we need to BE loved or don’t feel loved. When we give away what we need the most, we often receive more than we ever would have if we just worried about having our own needs met. It’s that wonderful Jesus living…that upside down, inside out, opposite, crazy lovin’ kind of living! Don’t ya just love it!?! He came to give His life for us, so undeserving…and yet He calls us His friends! How I pray we can stay in faith all our days and give each day fully and completely to this wild and wonderful way of living! 🙏🏻✝️🙌🏻😊
When we remember Whose we are and how much He loves us, we want to represent Him well… Clothing our hearts and attitudes with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Oh, how I pray we do! 🙏🏻✝️❣️🙌🏻😊
Encouragement… Don’t we all need it at one time or another? Or maybe the reality of it is that we all need it all the time! Either way, lives are changed and God is glorified when we are intentional vessels of His love and encouragement. I pray you will truly be blessed this week and will be an encouraging, empowering blessing to everyone in your sphere of influence. To God be the glory! 🙌🏻✝️❤️😊
Oh, what a different world it would be if we could each take this one verse to heart and live it with every fiber of our being! It challenges us to adopt an attitude that is sincerely others minded. It certainly is not easy, so all I can say is, “Lord, help!” 🙏🏻✝️❤️😊
As I look around during these unique times, I see a lot of discouraged people. But no matter what day and age we live in, this is a great verse to cling to! It reminds us that our Lord is with us wherever…that’s everywhere, all the time! We are never alone! 🙌🏻✝️❤️😁
The Lord is our righteousness, and it is in Him alone that we can trust for a hedge of protection…favor like a shield. I pray you are trusting in Him and His love and favor toward you today.
Two words from this verse jumped out at me, “Refuge” and “Rejoice.” When the LORD is my refuge…my sanctuary…I can truly rejoice and sing for joy because of all He is to me!
Though I am usually up pretty early, I am NOT a morning person by nature.😴 Thus, I get a good laugh out of mugs that say things like, “Good morning, Gorgeous!” or “Good morning, Sunshine” or one I recently saw that says “Let’s Get this Day Started!” Uh, no, let’s wait a while! 😅
The mug pictured here, however, gives me something to think about as I come out my early morning brain fog… “What good shall I do this day?” Though the ‘what’ we do is often in question until our day unfolds, the ‘how’ we do it can be determined as we reset our hearts and minds to be on our guard, stand firm in faith, be courageous and strong, and mostly to do everything in love. Oh how I pray we do! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🥰
Where we put our trust and what we focus on is SO important. There is nothing greater to put our trust in but the LORD! Oh, to remember this every minute of every day…what a difference it would make! 🙏🏻✝️🙌🏻❤️🙄
An old friend of mine, who now resides in Heaven, used to sign her emails with, “Keep a song in your heart!” This is truly what He did for me and continues to do every day… “He put a new song in my mouth…” So I will quote my friend again today, dear friends: “Keep a song in your heart!” I pray He will give you a new song every day, a hymn of praise to our God! 🙌🏻✝️❤️😊
Just one more note: Lately, “Be Alright” sung by Evan Craft, Danny Gokey and Redimi2 has been in my heart. Do you have a particular song that is on your heart today? I would love to know… It might give us all an opportunity to expand our playlists! 🎶🎵🎶
This verse is my story in a nutshell… The Rock of Ages truly ransomed, redeemed and rescued me from the mud and mire of my own sin, shame and past. He is truly the Rock upon which I stand and He continues to be my Deliverer, Defender and so much more.
Is there a Scripture that tells your story in a nutshell? And if so, which one? I would love to know!
I love the pure and joyful expression on this little girl’s face…looking up as if to the Lord. Waiting can be difficult at times, but wouldn’t it be so wonderful to feel such joyful anticipation as we wait for the Lord, trusting that He does hear our cry!!?! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🙄
I’ve been trying to memorize this verse all week… Of course, the ‘whatevers’ are easy, it’s the in between that throw me. 😅 But I truly do want to think on such things! 🙏🏻❣️
Isn’t it just wonderful to know that nothing ever surprises or shakes God’s love for us or changes His heart toward us!!!?!! Whew! 😅🙌🏻✝️❣️
I just love the way the Lord affirms us! He woke me up early this morning, giving me time to put this week’s verse and graphic together before leaving for church. Arriving there shortly after, our worship team led us in “God I Look to You” by Bethel Music… When you read the lyrics (particularly the chorus) along with the verse, I think you’ll see why I felt the two share a similar message. Anyway, don’t you just love when HE does that???
Here are the lyrics:
God I look to You, I won’t be overwhelmed
Give me vision to see things like You do
God I look to You, You’re where my help comes from
Give me wisdom; You know just what to do
I will love You Lord my strength
I will love You Lord my shield
I will love You Lord my rock forever
All my days I will love You God
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God reigns
Hallelujah our God reigns
Forever all my days Hallelujah
It all starts with the heart… ❤️
This is one of my all-time favorite verses! Even during times when we don’t recognize it — when we can’t see Him, feel Him or touch Him — His love is everlasting and His kindness is unfailing. 🙌🏻✝️❤️🙂
Never knowing what a day or season may bring, I have learned that His leading on “the path of life” is more than necessary. I can get lost so easily when I do things my way. I need Him to examine my heart daily and to lead me according to His Word, will and way… He is my True North, GPS and Navigator or life! 😊🙌🏻✝️❣️
I can’t imagine it for a second, can’t comprehend it for a minute, can’t even begin to fathom that our God’s thoughts of me outnumber the grains of sand…But I believe it and I love it. Hope you do too!! ❣️🙌🏻✝️😊❤️
There is absolutely NO greater love than what is expressed at the end of this verse… 🙌🏻✝️❤️
It’s such a wonderful thought, isn’t it… to think that our Heavenly Father rejoices over us with singing? It makes me want to sing too!!! 🎵🎶🎵
Sparrows… They are everywhere! They’re here in my back yard, they are in Canada, Germany, South Africa, Mexico, Japan…everywhere! Is that why God paints pictures of how He cares for sparrows…so that anyone living anywhere can relate? I have to believe it is, and He said we are even more valuable than sparrows!! Yes, His eye is on the sparrow, so you and I can know He loves and cares for us! I hope you have a blessed week as you abide under His feathers and in His tender care! 🙌🏻✝️🕊❣️😊
This week’s verse is another one of my favorites from Psalm 84! There is no better place to be than in His courts! We can worship Him privately at home or corporately with others… but it seems that they pour into each other. What starts at home enhances our participation at church and what happens as we worship together at church enhances our worship at home. We need both… personal time with the Lord and community. How wonderfully amazing! 😘🙌🏻✝️❤️
Oh, to do this better! Lord, help me, help us all! Last night at Bible Study, our teacher shared a question posed to her from a FB follower, “I know what you (speaking of Christians) are against, but what are you for?”
1 John 4:11-12 says, “Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” 1 John 4:11-12
It is my prayer today that I can live and love in such a way that the world around me will see exactly what and Who I am for, the One Who loved me so much that He gave His life for me. When we love, not matter what, we give a part of our life away in the name of Jesus to a world in need. Again I say, Lord, help me, help us all that others inside and outside of the Christian community will see and know His Love through us! 🙏🏻✝️❤️
I was reminded yesterday at our Women’s Celebration Luncheon just how much I love Psalm 84! Our deepest yearning, what our heart cries out for, can only be found in true relationship with our living, loving God. Blessings! 😘🙌🏻✝️❤️
It seems it is taking a lifetime to truly put into practice all that these two little verses teach. And yet, what valuable principles to apply… probably more now that ever! Lord, help us all to be kind and tenderhearted and to put others before ourselves. Thank YOU for leading us to love and forgive by Your amazing example! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🥰
This week’s verse comes with a simple command to “Love one another.” How I pray that I will live this out more fully every single day of my life. I pray this for all of us! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🥰
Here we have the final two verses from Psalm 91… So rich in instruction and promise, and so worth taking to heart and pondering this week. Have a blessed one!!! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🥰
Two more powerful verses this week from Psalm 91… 🙏🏻✝️❤️
This was last week’s verse, so sorry I forgot to post. We’re continuing on through Psalms 91 with verses 9 & 10. Thank You, Lord, for Your timeless Word and these precious verses for these days and times. 🙌🏻✝️❤️
Happy Sunday… a new week and a new verse, continuing on through Psalms 91 with verses 9 & 10. Thank You, Lord, for Your timeless Word and these precious verses for these days and times. 🙌🏻✝️❤️
Continuing on in Psalm 91… 🙏🏻✝️❤️
Fear not, dear blogger friends…. 🙏🏻✝️❤️
This is one of my favorite verses…as we continue on through Psalms 91. 🙏🏻✝️❤️
Continuing on through Psalms 91 in the KJV version… One verse at a time. 🙏🏻✝️❤️
I would SO love to memorize ALL of Psalms 91… Maybe it will happen one verse at a time. Movng on to verse 2! 🎉
I love this week’s memory verse in the KJV. Some verses just are! 🙂
It was time… A few weeks ago, I decided I needed to make a more asserted effort to memorize Scripture (not easy for me🤦🏼♀️), so I am working on one verse each week. I hope some of you will join me in this if you aren’t doing so already…either with the verses I post or one of your own. I’ve found that the verses that speak to my own heart are the most beneficial to learn. Here is this week’s verse.
My dear and cherished friends and followers,
Recently, it has become clear to me that it is once again time to take a little break from my daily ‘Celebrate’ posts to renew, regroup, refresh and refill. As I was feeling led in this direction anyway, this Daily Devotional further solidified my feelings. I hope you continually Celebrate His Love every day, and as an old friend of mine used to say, “Keep a song in your heart! ❣️🎶🙌🏻✝️🙏🏻
In His matchless & amazing love,
The Whisper of God: An Invitation to the Secret Place: Day 3 • Devotional
There is so much power in a word. A much needed word of encouragement can lift our spirits for a week or a lifetime, especially when it comes from someone we highly respect. And sadly, a critical word can change the course of a day, a career or a dream…and even more so when it comes from someone whose opinion we value or approval we seek. But the timeless Word of God, taken to heart, can magnify the positive words of people, and it can override the negative! It is truth and it is trustworthy. God’s Word can direct our lives, empower our work or ministry, ignite the embers of our smoldering spirits, strengthen our weak bodies, illuminate our dull minds, direct our paths, comfort our broken hearts, birth new hope, rescue us from the miry pit of our own sin and shame, set our feet upon the Rock of Jesus Christ, reveal God’s will, give us wisdom beyond our years and our peers, and so much more. God’s Word is a treasure chest, filled with endless riches waiting to be discovered! It is living, powerful and sharper than any two edged sword… It is dependable, immutable and eternal. It is free, it is whole, it is good, it is complete and it is for anyone and everyone who will accept it by faith and receive it for what it is…the Holy Spirit breathed Word of our living God! My prayer this month is that each of us will fully delight in it, day and night, as we Celebrate God’s Amazing Living Word! ✝️ 🌬📖❣️
