To quote an old song, “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me!”

His Eye is on the Sparrow – written in 1905 by lyricist Civilla D. Martin and composer Charles H. Gabriel…
Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me
I sing because I’m happy
I sing because I’m free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches
I know He watches
I know He watches me
I love this. I covers me with God’s Peace. Thank ‘you.

Yes, it’s one of mine as well. There are so many great old songs… As much as I enjoy the some of the new, the old still has so much to say as well!

His Eye is on the Sparrow, is one of the greats. I grew up with those beautiful song. When I am down, I read some Mosey Lister, and songs from the Rodehaver song books. These are all Classics. Thank you for this one.
