Today’s Encouraging Thought…

“White as snow, white as snow. Though my sins were as scarlet, Lord, I know, Lord I know, that I’m clean and forgiven!” This is one composer’s version of Isaiah 1:18, but the best version of all is the one we get to live out through our everyday lives…knowing we truly are clean and forgiven!

“White As Snow” lyrics
Leon Olguin/Kelly Willard

White as snow, white as snow
Though my sins were as scarlet
Lord, I know, Lord, I know
That I’m clean and forgiven

Through the power of Your blood
Through the wonder of Your love
Through faith in You
I know that I can be
White as snow

  1. Love that analogy…swimming pools of Clorox! You are adorable! And so, so true, only the blood of Jesus can take our hearts, black with sin, dip them in His precious blood and turn them whiter than snow! Only Jesus! ✝️ God bless you too, my dear, dear friend! ❣️😘❤️✝️❣️

  2. Beautiful, Dori!! This post is so rich in things that I love. What a promise from God! And one of my favorite word pictures in Scripture! And a Kelly Willard song? I haven’t heard her in years! I loved her music! Thank you for reminding me. I’m going to pull out my old albums. 😊 Huge hugs! ❤️

  3. Thank you so much for your delightful comment Rashell… I agree with you 100%! I love that snow covers everything from the tiniest twig to the largest trash heap! Like the blood of Jesus, it makes everything white and pure, serene and beautiful! His cleaning, however, is permanent and does not melt away in the spring. 🙂 I also like that a really good snow can remove all boundaries… where you can’t even see where the street ends and the sidewalk begins. I believe Jesus removed all boundaries as well…there are no rich or poor, powerful or weak, important or less-than at the foot of the cross… the ground is level there. We are all needy before Him, and when He clothes us in His Righteousness, we are restored, redeemed and repurposed for His glory. Yes, Rashell, I do love snow ❄️ and how grateful I am that you shared your situation with me. I pray that when it melts away, you will not soon forget the beautiful picture God gave you and that you will be so focused on the Lord that you can look above the scars, trash and neglect to the Only One who brings eternal whiteness to our hearts! Much love, in Christ. ☺️

  4. Having just experienced an unexpected white Christmas, I was reminded how refreshing and hopeful snow cover is. I live in a rough section of my city and for a beautiful, serene morning, the snow hid all the scars, trash, and neglect that otherwise scream out as you drive down the streets. I was reminded that renewal and change are possible. Thanks for the reminder in Scripture’s perfect analogy.
