After years of waiting, God blessed Sarah with contagious laughter through the miraculous birth of a son in her old age. When we ask God for His supernatural answers to our unreasonable prayers, hilariously miraculous answers await us too!

As a runaway child forfeits the sphere of protection home offers, so does a runaway child of God…But as we willingly trust and abide in Him, He faithfully surrounds us with His unfailing love!

God’s whispering voice still speaks to the listening heart. Shhh, listen…

Jesus exemplified love as a pursuing force that is not based upon the response of the beloved…Like a river, love flows freely in one direction from the heart of God to us, to others. Free is free, and how freeing is that!!?!!

The Lord is our only source of true joy…Choosing to trust our Great Defender as we rejoice and praise His Mighty Name in every situation, exalts Him and instills deeper faith within our hearts.

Our weaknesses are opportunities for God’s strength to flourish through us for Christ’s glory and to our own sheer delight…knowing how ginormously HE picks up the slack in our lack. 🙂

Pleasant boundary lines pour from the heart of our Loving Father who wants to provide protection, guidance and security. As we accept His boundaries as an act of His love for us, we are joyfully blessed!

True worship costs the sacrifice of our hearts, wills and bodies before our King, but the result is priceless…He is highly exalted and we are richly blessed!

The same Lord who sustains us through the night will surely sustain us throughout our day. Thank You Lord!

Happy New Year! May we go into 2018, forgetting what is behind, pressing toward what is ahead and focusing fully on our heavenly goal, onward and upward…believing that as we keep step with our Savior we will never lose our way!‬

We can approach 2018 without fear…trusting instead, knowing that our loving Heavenly Father will hold our hand and faithfully help us through each new adventure!

Peace and gratitude are choices of the heart, choices only the Lord can sustain for us…May He reign on the thrones of our hearts in and throughout this soon approaching New Year as we thank Him for His peace.‬

Mary took God at His Word and He delivered His Power, His Shadow of love and protection over her, and He fulfilled His Promise…God’s Plan was accomplished through Mary as it is through every life yielded to Him.

God promised redemption for His children Israel, and He always does what He says He will do and more. Jesus not only came to redeem Israel, but ‘whosoever’ beleiveth in Him! Praise the Lord God who did it all for ALL of us!

Some of yesterday’s gifts were too big, too small, already a disappointment or are possibly already broken. But the everlasting, precious Gift of God’s Son is One we will treasure in our hearts more with each passing day!

Who would leave His throne in Heaven, be born in a lowly manger to a poor young couple, live a meager life as a carpenter, become an itinerate preacher with nowhere to lay his head and die on a cross for sinful mankind just to BE WITH US? ONLY JESUS!

Jesus is everything the angel said He would be… The Great Son of the Most High! Who could ask for more!!!?!!!

At Christmas and always, we can join the angels in praising God saying, “Glory to God in the highest!” Even to this day and age, He is still the Giver of peace and good will…giving peace that passes human understanding to all who trust His Son.

The Angel said, “fear not,” to the shepherds…And though seeing an angel had to be quite shocking, the message was good, filled with calming peace, hope of salvation and joy for everyone, including us! Glory be to the newborn King!‬

We don’t have to miss out on experiencing God’s Miraculous Gift like the innkeeper did long ago. When we make room for Jesus and invite Him in through our heart’s door, He gladly enters!

Before the birth of Jesus, God the Father took care of every detail of His life, as He does ours. God, the very Giver of Life, gifted us with His Son so that we may have abundant life through Christ…now and forever!

Taking God at His Word, accepting and believing it with all her heart, and responding with humility, trust and obedience empowered Mary with Blessed Hope beyond her own meager understanding…as it will with us!

When things look dark and scary from our vantage point, the True Light radiates out of the darkness…Jesus, the Hope of all creation!

Our ever present Lord is our Lifelong Help and Faithful Deliverer. He will see us through a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g! 🙂

Our Heavenly Father listens when we pray and withholds no good thing…He loves us!

That thing you are trusting God for? Don’t give up, keep on praying, stay in faith! He can surely do it…because nothing, absolutely nothing, is impossible for our Giant, Amazing, Matchless God!

God, summoning us by name, shows us that He knows us way before we ever know Him…He values us…We matter to Him. What a comfort!

As we humbly bow before the Lord in reverence and respect, He upholds us and lifts us up!

The Lord is always here, bearing our burdens more than we ever feel, see or know.

There is no firmer foundation to build our hope upon than the Rock of Ages!

The free gift of salvation that God offers us in Jesus Christ satisfies our thirst for something – someone – to save us from ourselves for all eternity. All we had to do is believe! 🙂

God is interested in every tiny detail of our lives…all the way down to the number of hairs on each head.

God empowers us with His Spirit to be confident rather than timid, to be self-disciplined rather than in disarray and to love rather than be judgmental, jealous or unkind.

The Lord has never forsaken those who trust and seek Him, and He will never forsake us! There is no greater Hope than the Lord our God!

Like images in the sand that wash away with the tide, so are the sins of all who believe in Him…they are washed away by the precious blood of Jesus!

Before the fall of mankind, God gave us the gift of work…and as we thank Him for giving us abilities, strength and breath to do our work well, it becomes a blessing to us and others!

God is FOR us…God is for ME…God is for YOU! What could be more encouraging than that?

God tells us to trust Him enough in every circumstance, to always rejoice, pray and thank Him…and in these very acts He blesses us with strength, joy and peace beyond measure!

Exercising God’s love as an action word – regardless of how we feel – covers our sin and inner struggles, and changes us into the true people-lovers God created us to be.

Jesus, knowing His Heavenly Father a-l-w-a-y-s heard Him, thanked Him in advance. We can pray with that same confidence…thanking Him ahead of time!

God not only redeems us but in His unfailing love He stays with us along the way…leading, guiding and strengthening us…now and forever!

The God of the universe accepts those who turn to Him…without favoritism…and as we follow His example it gives glory to His name, peace to others and joy to us!

We will worry far less when each day we thank and praise the LORD from morning to night! Let us forget not all His benefits!

Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for…God’s love is unfailing and all He has done for us is beyond gracious and merciful, and that is just for starters!

Worship, praise and thanksgiving not only raise the LORD’s banner high, but blesses us as well…It is not just a day, it is a way of life!

Praise the LORD for He is sloooow to anger and ABOUNDING in love, grace and compassion (and not the other way around).

Our Heavenly Father loves us SO much that He not only wants to supply all our needs, but some of our wants too… that we will lack NO good thing!

We can fully, completely, totally rely on the LORD’s strength and protection 24/7, 365 days a year! Let’s give a shout-out to that!!!

Because the Most Powerful Being in the Universe is for us, we can walk by His side in love, faith and confidence every day!

Even if our love and faithfulness falter, our Heavenly Father’s love and faithfulness are established and stand firm forever! And we can declare it!!

Once we know the supreme value of our relationship with the Lord, everything else becomes second place.

Whether home or away, God has blessed benefits waiting for us!

No matter how great our mountain is, our GOD is greater still!

As we focus our eyes and hearts upon the Great Commander of the Lord’s army, and seek to please Him alone, our messy lives will take on a new perspective and calm.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, can ever quench or sweep away God’s everlasting, unconditional love for us.

We are God’s fully accepted, beloved children through His Son Jesus Christ… Praise God for His amazing, matchless grace and love!!

Hilltops and valleys, sunshine and rain…it’s good to know we are never alone. We need not fear nor be dismayed…God is with us through it all!

God’s love abounds more than all the sin in the whole world; by His infinite grace He redeems EVERYONE who calls on Him in Jesus’ name!

God lets us in on the secret to true blessing, joy and happiness…Simply focus on Him as we delight ourselves in His Word and meditate on it. Trust it, live it, breathe it…and joy wildl abound!

God’s Word is more heavenly than the finest delicacy we’ve ever tasted…food satisfies the stomach for a little while, but His very Word satisfies the soul for all eternity.

God’s wonders are far too unfathomable and too numerable for us to list or fully declare, but let’s give it a shot anyway! 🙂

In an imperfect world, we will find comfort, refuge and joy in our Amazing, Giant God as we trust His flawless, perfect Word and Way!

God desires to richly bless everyone that calls on Him, that means absolutely anyone!

We have an Advocate who pleads our cause…speaking on our behalf at the right hand of the very throne of God. Yes, that’s our Savior!

It’s not the size of the gift, but the size of the heart that truly matters.

When we look through the lens of God’s Word and focus on His will and ways, our lives become portraits of His wisdom, insight and understanding at any age!

Loneliness is no stranger to the LORD… He is with us and deeply understands every lonely cry of our hearts. We are never alone.

The Lord desires deeply to hold and bless each of his children, young and old, as we rest in His glorious presence and comforting arms.

When we guard your hearts, God will guard everything else for us!

Through His Son Jesus Christ we become God’s children, His sons and daughters, and we have the privilege of intimacy with Him, calling Him Abba, Father…Daddy.

God’s economy is always the opposite of ours…Rather than striving to exalt ourselves to get ahead, God says to humble ourselves and HE will lift us up!

God’s plan has always been to atone for our sins, knowing we could not do it on our own… Jesus paid it all! Thank You, LORD!

Investing all we are and all we have in God’s Kingdom is worth more than anything  this life has to offer and worth everything Heaven is preparing for us in the future.

Jesus, our High Priest, understands our every weakness with empathy and compassion…knowing exactly what it is like to live in this fallen world.

We can praise the LORD today because His love truly is better than life itself. It is unfathomable yet, through the finished work of His Son, it is fully obtainable!

Everything good comes from the Lord…and having a grateful heart not only blesses Him, but it blesses us as well. Thank You LORD!

God’s goal was never to condemn us, but to save us from our own sin and shame through the precious love gift of His Son. How awesome is that!!?!!!

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Jesus beckoned His disciples to go with Him to a quiet place and rest…and He invites us to get-a-way and rest with Him as well.

This present life is merely a shadow compared to all the amazing things the Lord has in store for us in glory!

The Lord fills our empty hearts and quenches our thirsty souls…in His presence we are secure in who we are and why we are here!

We are the salt of the earth and, since salt makes everything taste better, He has empowered us with the ability to flavor our world with His love and grace!

Our very lives speak volumes, often when we are completely unaware…it is the Holy Spirit flowing through us to the hearts of those around us.

It is interesting to note how often Jesus and His disciples left the crowds and retreated to a solitary place for personal soul care…giving us freedom and grace to do the same.

The Creator of all things can create all things new in us!

Today’s encouraging thought… The LORD is our light, our salvation and our strength in every situation we face…So fear not!

We reap the greatest blessings of all when we give our time, talent and substance to God and others.

No matter how weary, weak or worn we feel, our God can strengthen us for each day of our lives…all we need is in Him.

Doing good can often be as difficult as tilling soil and planting seeds in the hot sun, but those who persevere reap crops of abundant blessings!

Reading, absorbing and living according to God’s Living Word gives us freedom that blesses us beyond compare!
