Verse of the Week…

When an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, it was decreed by God the Father that His one and only Son shall be named Jesus. Commentators have defined the meaning of Jesus’ name as “Yahweh Saves, The Lord is Salvation or God Our Savior.”

Christmas is a time when we most commonly contemplate the precious Son of God, born to a virgin and placed in a lowly manger on that first Christmas morning. And at the same time, the beautiful manger scene was shadowed by the future for this Blessed Child, the future of the Old Rugged Cross. Yes, that little baby boy came for the sole purpose of laying down His life as God’s perfect sacrificial Lamb. He died on a cruel cross, was buried in a tomb and rose again to rescue, save and deliver us from our sin once and for all. The rest is up to us…whether we believe and welcome Him into our lives, or reject God’s blessed, perfect Gift.

I am not sure who will even read this or where you are on your spiritual journey, but I just need to say on this most blessed Christmas Day that I could not do this life on my own! I could never be good enough to convince God to let me into His perfect, holy presence, His glorious heaven. Truth is, I was a huge mess up…I’d made a disaster of my life, looking for love and fullness in all the wrong places…and that’s why when this message of God’s love (John 3:16), compassion, mercy and grace came to me at ‘this’ very time of year (many years ago), I gratefully accepted it! And since then, I have never been the same!

There is an unexplainable peace in knowing we have an Advocate before the Father…A Rescuer, Deliverer, A SAVIOR who is Christ our Lord! If you have Him in your life, you know exactly what I mean. If you do not, I pray you will consider welcoming Him into your heart and life this CHRISTmas Day! He is just one sincere, heartfelt prayer away… and I guarantee, you will never be the same! Let us all embrace God’s precious Son in the manger, on the cross, out of the tomb and into our hearts! And may you have the absolute Merriest Christmas ever! 🎄🙌🏻✝️❣️🥰

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ~John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
