Celebrate His Touch…

I was deeply touched today by the story of the crippled woman in Luke 13:10-13… She’d been bent over for 18 years and couldn’t even straighten herself up…and yet, when Jesus spoke and put His hands on her she was suddenly and miraculously healed. There are things that have crippled my life for years as well…and as the Lord peals back the layers and brings them to light one by one, He brings conviction, repentance and life lessons, but also a sweet invitation to straighten up and walk closer to Him than ever before. This woman gives such a beautiful picture of His healing touch in our lives, and of what our response should be… to PRAISE GOD! Hallelujah!!

Celebrate His Touch…

Studies show that human touch such as hugging, hand holding, cuddling, and other forms of contact can be beneficial physically, emotionally and spiritually. Hugging induces oxytocin, commonly known as the “bonding hormone.” It is also known to reduce stress, lower cortisol levels and increase a sense of trust and security. Some say that getting a massage (oh, wouldn’t that be nice?) or cuddling with your pet are extremely beneficial as well. During this time of isolation, human contact has been limited and in some cases, especially for those who live alone, completely eliminated. But how thankful we can be that our Heavenly Father has no limitations, no boundaries and no infectious disease…other than His infectious love for you and me demonstrated on the Cross of Jesus Christ! I hope we all catch that one! So cuddle up and enjoy a huge hug from the LORD this month as we Celebrate His Touch! 🤗💖😘

It’s Time…

It’s time, past time, to kneel united in prayer for our broken nation. Every life matters to God and we have a great opportunity to see miracles happen.

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

I’m all in… and I know many of you are already all in as well, praying fervently every day. God bless you, and may God bless America! 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻 ‬‬

Celebrate Worship…

With all that is going on in our country and our world, I sure struggled with the theme for this month. But, in the midst of it all, it is so easy to lose site of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and focus on the turmoil. And yet, we have hope! Throughout all the ages of time and all the pages of the Bible, God saw His people through worse times than this and He will do it again. Our part is to stay focused on Him, not on CNN, Fox or Epoch News, and WORSHIP is an amazing way to do that! Worship is more than singing, it is a state of the heart, a heart turned fully and completely toward God, exalting Him and praising Him for Who He is. Because of the unsettling season we are in, I encourage you to take a few extra minutes to write each day’s verse in a journal, then jot down a few words about what it says to your heart, adding a personal prayer to communicate your heart to God. I believe you will be doubly blessed as we Celebrate Worship together! 🙌🏻✝️💕

Celebrate the Peace…

At this sad time of general lawlessness and unrest in our country, I pray even more than ever for you to have the peace that passes all understanding reigning in your heart today. My prayers are with all of the people involved and especially those who work so hard to help and protect us. God be with you! 🙏🏻✝️❤️

Celebrate the Peace…

Violets are another flower listed among those symbolizing peace. This delicate flower also represents love, affection, faith purity, chastity, worth and goodness. The meaning of the violet depends mostly the flower’s color and the person it is given to. Blue violets symbolize love and faithfulness, white represents purity and chastity, and yellow great worth and goodness. I’m not sure which color represents peace, but with all these other attributes I find it fitting that it does! So today I am sending you a virtual bouquet of multicolored violets filled with the aroma of God’s amazing love and peace! 💕🙏🏻😊

Celebrate the Peace…

Celebrate the Peace…
The Eastern White Pine is known in some cultures as the “Tree of Peace.” It is a beautiful bluish or greenish tree, and this fast-growing foliage can be found throughout North America, especially in Maine and Michigan where they have chosen it as their state tree. Fast growing…what a perfect term to apply to a tree that represents peace. Just as fear and unrest can be contagious and fast growing, wouldn’t it be wonderful if peace could be even more contagious and so fast growing that it spread like wild fire. This is my prayer…for this miraculous peace that passes all understanding to be fast growing in each of our hearts, and in hearts throughout our country and our world. Peace be with you! 🙏🏻✝️❤️🌲

Celebrate the Peace…

Lavender is another common flower associated with peace. Lavender is typically used for anxiety, stress and insomnia. It is also thought to bring peace to interactions with loved ones. Ultimately, it symbolizes love, protection, happiness, sleep and devotion, and that all sounds pretty peaceful to me. Don’t you just love the smell of lavender? And today we can thank our God of Peace for creating it for us with all these many benefits!

Celebrate the Peace…

Basil is a common herb, and it is also a symbol of peace in some cultures. It can symbolize good wishes, wealth and happiness. But more than good wishes, Jesus gives peace that passes all understanding to those who believe and trust in Him. This is the peace I pray for you today. 🙏🏻✝️💕

Celebrate the Peace…

Just a little extra info today: Poppies traditionally symbolize peace and the end and remembrance of war, and this may have partially come from the fact that the flowers grew over the fallen bodies of soldiers who fought in the Great War in Northern France. Different colors have slightly different symbolism, but the white poppy’s pure, crisp tone is especially indicative of peace.*

With that said, I thought this graphic was perfect for today’s verse… When “the peace that passes all understanding” envelopes our very souls, we stand out in the world as beautifully a white poppy in a field of red ones! I pray this kind of overcoming peace for you today, and that you can take heart! 🙏🏻😌❣️

Celebrate the Peace…

My prayer for May is that regardless of all the turmoil and media hype going on around us, that you can celebrate peace in the very depths of your soul…the kind of peace that passes all understanding. This peace doesn’t come from looking around, but from looking up…a life lived in the vertical rather than the horizontal. This month, I encourage you to turn your face toward heaven and celebrate the peace that only the Lord can give. Surely, He is just waiting to shine His love, joy and peace down on you! So look up! 🥰🙏🏻✝️❤️🙌🏻
